Let's Make Lake County Better

Lake County has a rich history, is the economic hub of Northwest Indiana and is posed for significant future growth. There are challenges, however, that need to be addressed to make sure that we stay on the right track. We need the right representatives on our County Council that are ready to address these challenges. Stephen’s experience and dedication to the citizens of Lake County will help ensure that we are heading on the right path to posterity and growth, while maintaining the values that have made us who we are.

Accountability In Government

Lake County government has had many issues in the past and recently. From government officials not showing up to work, to failing audits, misplacing tax dollars, not addressing criminal activities that have been brought to its attention, and not utilizing internal controls and processes that have been mandated, these are just a few of the issues that need to be addressed.

Stephen wants to help ensure that our officials are held responsible to their obligations to our citizens and that our county government is working for the people.

Government Efficiency

Our county government should be a responsible steward of our taxpayer dollars and should be run as efficiently and effectively as possible. There is room for improvement now in our county government, and the need for this improvement will only grow with the implications of SB1 on the horizon.

Stephen understands how important each hard-earned dollar is to our families and will work to ensure that each tax dollar that is used for county government receives the greatest impact for each citizen.

Responsible Growth

Lake County has been rapidly growing and is posed for a bright economic future, but we need to be focused on ensuring that growth fits with the vision and values of our communities and neighborhoods.

Stephen is committed to helping bring development, economic growth and jobs to Lake County; but also making sure that we grow in a manner that is considerate of our heritage and keeping our county a great place to raise a family.

Housing Affordability

Home prices in our area have increased significantly over the last several years, and are now posing a significant challenge to families looking at purchasing their first home or moving up to their next home. As our county continues to grow, we need to make sure that we have policies and a plan in place to help increase our housing supply to keep pace with the demand and make the dream of home ownership available for more families.

As a mortgage broker and real estate professional, Stephen has helped hundreds of families to purchase homes in our area. He has seen the struggles that many families have to face when trying to purchase a home for their family and have helped them to understand and overcome them. He has the experience to help make sure that buying a home in Lake County is achievable for more families.
